Man from Kargil dies in Alto-Tanker Collision, Another injured

Ganderbal, Oct 29, KNT: The collision between an Alto car and an oil tanker on Srinagar-Kargil highway near Sonamarg left a man from Kargil dead while another traveler sustained critical injuries. The car was damaged extensively in the accident.

Police sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that there was a collision between an Alto (JK07-6871) en route to Kargil, and an oil tanker (PB13BE-0587) coming from Kargil towards Sonamarg.

New Delhi, Sep 26: The Union government on Thursday announced a hike in minimum wage rates for workers up to Rs 1,035 a day by revising variable dearness allowance.

This adjustment is aimed at helping workers cope with the rising cost of living, a labour ministry statement said.
