Free Hearing Aid Camp Benefits Kargil Residents

Kargil, May 25, 2025 – Baqirya Health Care & Research Centre (BHC&RC), the health wing of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), in collaboration with Voluntary Medicare Society Kashmir, successfully conducted a Free Hearing Aid Distribution and Hearing Screening Camp today at Bemathang, Kargil. The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, Mr. Srikant Bala Saheb Suse (IAS) in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Mr. Kacho Imtiyaz (JKAS)and Chairman of IKMT, Sheikh Sadiq Rajai, along with executive members and general members of BHC&RC.

The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the underprivileged, focusing on addressing hearing impairments. Over 48 patients and beneficiaries were screened and provided with free hearing aids, significantly improving their quality of life. The initiative reflects BHC&RC’s commitment to delivering accessible healthcare to remote and underserved communities in Kargil, continuing its legacy of impactful health programs.

The event featured a ceremonial inauguration with speeches highlighting the importance of such initiatives in promoting inclusivity and healthcare equity. The team of doctors, volunteers, and paramedics from BHC&RC, supported by Voluntary Medicare Society Kashmir, ensured the smooth execution of the camp, offering professional consultations and provision of hearing aid to all beneficiaries.

At the conclusion of the event, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Srikant Bala Saheb Suse (IAS) was honored by the executive body of the BHC&RC as a farewell gesture, recognizing his contributions to the district’s during his tenure. The organization expressed gratitude for his support and wished him success in his future endeavors.

BHC&RC extends its heartfelt thanks to Voluntary Medicare Society Kashmir, the district administration, and all volunteers for their unwavering support in making this initiative a success.
