Kargil, May 18: The Basij-e-Zaraat wa Baghbani (Agriculture Wing) of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil successfully conducted its 1st General Executive Body Election, marking a significant step toward strengthening the organizational structure of the Agri Wing under the trust.

The election witnessed enthusiastic participation, and the following members were elected to key positions with notable voter support: President: Ali Naqi – 61 votes, Vice President: Er. Ahmed Ali – 59 votes, General Secretary: Shabbir Hussain Fayaz – 70 votes, Organizing Secretary: Dr. Aqlima Banoo – 58 votes, Joint Secretary: Ahmad Hussain – 55 votes, and Field Coordinator: Ghulam Mohammad Akhon – 73 votes.

The newly elected executive members expressed their commitment to working for the betterment of the agricultural and horticultural sectors in Kargil, aligning with the core objectives of IKMT.

Senior leaders of IKMT congratulated the winners and appreciated the democratic spirit displayed during the election. They also emphasized the importance of sustainable agricultural development and grassroots empowerment in the region.
