CEC Leh called on delegation comprising representatives from religious bodies, tourism stakeholders, merchant association
Leh, May 13, 2025 – Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was called on by a delegation comprising representatives from religious bodies, tourism stakeholders, and the merchant association, in the presence of Hon’ble Councillors Ishey Spalzang, Thinles Nurboo and Dr. Morup Dorjey.
The delegation included President of Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), President of Anjuman Imamia, President of Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam, President of All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALHGHA), President of ALTA, President and Vice President of the Merchant Association, and BJP Sham District President Konchok Ishey Stak, along with several hoteliers.
The delegation put forth the demand for the establishment of the Ladakh Development Finance Corporation (LDFC) under Section 3 of the State Financial Corporations Act, 1951, and sought the immediate separation of Ladakh’s financial structure from the Joint Finance Corporation with Jammu & Kashmir.

They highlighted the lack of financial autonomy, issues in administrative control, and the need for dedicated institutional mechanisms to serve Ladakh’s interests effectively. The Hon’ble Chairman/CEC assured the delegation that the matter would be taken up with Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh and other the concerned authorities for necessary action.
