AKSAD Commemorates Ashura-e-Hussaini in New Delhi

Delhi, July 17: The All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) commemorated Ashura-e-Hussaini in New Delhi, where a significant number of students lamented the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), and his companions in the holy land of Karbala.

Events for Shab-e-Ashura and Subh-e-Ashur were held at Jamia Ahlebait in Shaheen Bagh on July 16, with a large student turnout. Sheikh Jawad Habib addressed the attendees, and tabarruk was distributed.

AKSAD participated in a large, peaceful gathering in New Delhi by holding the Ashura-e-Hussaini procession. The procession began at Shia Jama Masjid in Kashmere Gate, marched towards the Dargah Mazaar Shaheed-e-Raabee Panja Sharif in Kashmere Gate, and concluded with a speech by Sheikh Jawad Habib.

Student volunteers actively participated in the procession by serving tabarruk and ensuring cleanliness throughout the event. The procession was managed by the head organizers and senior members of the association, maintaining decorum.

A free bus service was provided from Jamia Ahlebait to Shia Masjid Kashmere Gate and vice versa. Sham-e-Ghariban was also organized at two locations, Sangam Vihar and Jamia Ahlebait Shaheen Bagh, with tabarruk served after the majlis.
