VoL Desk, Nov. 04: Imam Juma, Musalla Imam Khomeini, Kargil Sheikh Hameed Nasiri condemned the filing of FIR against the clerics associated with the Shia Olema Assembly in Mumbai.

First of its kind among Shia Muslims in India, the Shia Olema Assembly had conducted a two days long programme on issues of Shia community, way out and future planning for those issues.

As per reports, the FIR has been filed against prominent Shia clerics including Moulana Akhtar Abass Jaun from UP, Moulana Taqi Raza Abidi from Hyderabad, Moulana Ghulam Mohammad Mehdi from Tamilnadu and Moulana Ghulam Hussain Mattu from Kashmir.

The FIR is filed at Jiji Marg Police Station, Mumbai on the pretext of controversial statement under Section IPC 153 A, 153 B, and 295.

The Imam Juma also condemned the Mumbai based Urdu daily newspaper  Sahafat for manipulating the facts regarding the program and misleading the character of Prominent Shia clerics including Syed Jawad Naqvi.

Sheikh Hameed said that the Shias of Kargil are always in support to the Shia Olema Assembly.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Hameed also chided the Ladakh UT Administration over promoting dance and songs in the District on the pretext of culture. He also directed the parents to keep eye on their children to avoid then from taking part in such events.

He further said that these programs are attack on local culture, tradition and religion.
