Weekly Khidmat-e-Awaam Outreach Camp Held at Tungri, Zanskar
Zanskar, April 22, 2026/ VOL News Desk/ Under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, and supervision of the SDM Zanskar, a weekly Khidmat-e-Awaam outreach camp was held at Tungri Panchayat.
The camp aimed to deliver government services at the doorstep and witnessed active participation from various departments. The Revenue Department issued ST certificates, LRCs, and carried out ration card verifications, while the Health Department conducted screenings and generated health cards.
Departments including ICDS, Agriculture, RDD, Animal Husbandry, Handicrafts, Tourism, Social Welfare, and banks created awareness about welfare schemes and registered beneficiaries on the spot.

Several services such as Aadhaar enrolments, PM-KISAN registrations, insurance schemes, and homestay registrations were facilitated during the camp.
Villagers raised key demands related to road connectivity, irrigation, drinking water supply, repair of submersible pumps, and infrastructure development. Officials visited sites and assured timely redressal.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, highlighting the initiative’s role in bringing governance closer to the people.
