Leh, April 21: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was called on by Dr. Fayaz Ahmad, Dr. Nurzin Angmo along with members of the All Ladakh Dental Surgeon Association (ALDSA), in the presence of Nominated Councillor Dr. Yangchan Dolma, who submitted a representation highlighting key issues concerning dental health services in Ladakh.

The delegation placed demands for the creation of Dental Surgeon posts across all health institutions including DHs, SDHs, CHCs, PHCs, and H&WCs; creation of District Dental Health Officer posts; adjustment of Dental Surgeons against vacant Medical Officer posts; appointment of senior Dental Surgeons as in-charge BMOs; rectification of honorarium discrepancies for RBSK and contractual Dental Surgeons; inclusion under the difficult area incentive scheme; and appointment of more Dental Surgeons under the RBSK program.

The Chairman/CEC expressed his support and assured that a meeting with all concerned authorities will be convened to discuss and resolve the issues.
