Kargil, March 10, 2025: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting to discuss and approve Master Plan Iteration-2 under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project. The meeting also reviewed the deployment status and approved invoices for December 2024, January, and February 2025.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for Tourism, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kargil, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director Tourism, Executive Engineer Kargil Development Authority (KDA), Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and the PDMC team.

During the meeting, the PDMC team presented various site options for development under Swadesh Darshan 2.0. A detailed presentation was made regarding the finalization of the Linki Pal ski slope under Iteration. Following the deliberations, the master plan was approved.

The meeting discussed a proposal for a cantilever glass bridge to be incorporated under SDP to enhance tourism experiences in the region.

The deployment status for December 2024, January, and February 2025 was also reviewed.

It was informed that invoices for the corresponding months would be approved by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kargil.

The CEC emphasized the importance of timely execution and monitoring of Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project to boost tourism infrastructure in Kargil. He directed concerned departments to ensure seamless coordination for the effective implementation of the approved plans.
