VOL Desk , Dec 07, 2024: Students from Government High School Bodhkharbo, Kargil, have made Ladakh proud with their outstanding performance at the National Zonal Level School Pipe Band Competition held in Lucknow today. Representing Ladakh, the students captivated the audience, jury, and dignitaries with their remarkable pipe band performance, showcasing their dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent.The Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh personally praised the students for their impressive skills and professionalism. However, despite their stellar performance, the Ladakhi team was unable to advance to the final competition in Delhi due to technical regulations. The rules stipulated that the team should consist exclusively of either boys or girls, while the Ladakhi team was a mix of both genders.Acknowledging the students’ exceptional talent, the event organizers invited them to perform again during the closing ceremony, where they received a warm and enthusiastic response from the distinguished audience, which included military and civil officers. The students were congratulated by higher authorities for delivering a performance that rivaled professional pipe bands. The school administration also deserves recognition for their efforts in training the students and coordinating their travel and logistics from Leh to Lucknow.This competition has not only showcased the immense potential of Ladakhi students but also motivated them through the unexpected recognition and appreciation they received. The students have set a remarkable example and demonstrated the excellence that Ladakh brings to national stages.
