Kargil, Dec 07, 2024: Nehru Yuva Kendra Kargil in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Kargil today successfully organized a District Level Yuva Utsav India @2047 at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall, Kargil.The event was aimed to foster youth talent and enthusiasm in various creative fields and saw enthusiastic participation from students of local schools and computer institutes.The program was graced by Joint Director Sports, Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi, along with DYSS Kargil staff, NYC-NYK, and students from various educational institutions.The event featured a series of competitions including declamation contests, a writer’s camp, painting competitions and cultural fest performances, showcasing the diverse talents of young people in the region.The competitions were designed to encourage students in areas such as writing, communication, folk dance, and singing. The panel of judges included Mukhtar Zahid Budgami, Hakima Banoo Ali, Javid Iqbal, Mohd Hussain, Zarina Banoo, Fida Hussain, Mohd Abbas, Baqir Ali, Mumtaz Chomal, Fatima Banoo, Maryam Bee and Ghulam Murtaza.The winners were awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes for their outstanding performances in different categories.In the painting competition, Swaliha secured the 1st position, Zarifa came in 2nd, and Chocho Mehroon Nissa earned the 3rd place.In the declamation contest, Fatima Nissa secured the 1st position, Saba Shujat came in 2nd, and Sabiya Bilques earned the 3rd place.In the Cultural Festival (Folk Dance/Song), Kunzang Wangmo & Troupes secured the 1st position, Sudiqa & Troupes came in 2nd, and Hanifa & Group earned the 3rd place.In the Story Writing/Poetry competition, Sayeeda Banoo secured the 1st position, Rubaba Zainab came in 2nd, and Gulnaz Fatima earned the 3rd place.Trophy, certificates, and cash prizes were presented to the winners of all categories. Additionally, momentos were given to the judges in appreciation of their valuable contributions.In his address, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi emphasized the importance of events like Yuva Utsav in shaping the future of youth and aligning with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to make India a developed nation by 2047.
