Kargil, Nov 05, 2024: A team of officers from the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, today visited District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil to assess its functioning and performance for potential inclusion in the National Initiative for DIETs as Centers of Excellence.

The team toured various facilities, including classrooms, lecture halls, digital studio, and community radio. They expressed satisfaction with the institution’s dedication to advancing programs under various ministry initiatives to strengthen the educational landscape.

Gulzar Danish welcomed the distinguished guests, while Dr. Willayat Ali presented a detailed PPT on DIET Kargil’s performance and achievements.

Principal DIET Kargil, Syeeda Banoo, extended a traditional welcome with a Khatak and expressed gratitude to the Ministry for selecting DIET Kargil for the second phase of DIET upgradation.

In her address, she conveyed thanks and requested the team to consider DIET Kargil for inclusion in the national DIET Upgradation Program as a Center of Excellence. The positive response from the MoE officers team marks a hopeful step towards this recognition.
