Kargil, June 14: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon had a series of productive meetings with Secretary, Ministry of Education, GoI and senior officials in New Delhi to address educational issues in Kargil district.

In a key meeting with Sanjay Kumar (IAS) Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India, the CEC engaged in an in-depth discussion on various educational challenges and opportunities in Kargil.

The dialogue focused on enhancing educational infrastructure, addressing shortage of teachers and improving student outcomes in the region. He expressed strong commitment to resolve these issues and ensured the smooth implementation of Centrally Sponsored Educational Schemes in Kargil.

Following this, Dr. Akhoon had a fruitful discussion with A.Srija, Economic Advisor, Department of School Education & Literacy (SE&L) and discussed broad issues ranging from the implementation of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to the overall education scenario in the district.

She assured full support and commitment to addressing any barriers to the effective execution of educational programs in Kargil.

Deputy Secretary; Deputy Director of SAMAGRA for Ladakh; Coordinator; Consultant Samagra Ladakh and other Sectional Officers were also present during these discussions.
