Lok Sabha Elections: 69.62% Voter Turnout Reported in Ladakh
VoL Desk, May 21: Around 69.62 percent of voters casted their votes in the 01 Ladakh Constituency during fifth phase of election on May 20, 2024, stated the official data issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Ladakh.
As per the data issued by the CEO Office, the estimated voter turnout of Kargil district is 74.0 percent and of Leh District is 64.9 percent and the approximate voter turnout was 69.62 percent. The Returning Officer during his press conference to media said that the number may increase after the final figure from far-flung polling stations are collected.
The overall voter turnout is yet to announced in Ladakh region.

Meanwhile from Ladakh a total three candidates were in fray for the Member Parliament election, from which two were from INC and BJP and another one contest election as an independent candidate.
After the end of 6th phase election on 02 June 2024, the counting for the Member Parliament is on 04 June 2024.
