Kargil, April 27: The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil Malik Shabir Ahmad, carried out a significant two-day visit to Zanskar region aimed at evaluating the region’s Judicial infrastructure and monitoring the progress of the ongoing construction of the new Court Complex on 26th and 27th of April 2024.

He was accompanied by Munsiff/ JMIC Zanskar, Shafiq Mushtaq Lone, District Mineral Officer, Kargil, SDM Zanskar, Tehsildar Zanskar, Mohd Hassan, SHO Zanskar and other district officials.

During the visit, he conducted a thorough assessment of the existing judicial facilities in Zanskar, with a keen focus on identifying areas for improvement to enhance access to justice for residents of the region.

The inspection encompassed a range of factors including infrastructure adequacy, technological integration, and overall operational efficiency.

A pivotal aspect of the visit was the inspection of the construction site of the new Court Complex in Zanskar.

District Judge closely monitored the construction progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. The establishment of this modern facility is poised to significantly bolster the judicial infrastructure in Zanskar, facilitating smoother legal proceedings and enhancing the delivery of justice.
