ADGP Ladakh advocates judicious use of mobile phones during visit to Zanskar subdivision
Kargil, April 21: Additional Director General of Police, Union Territory of Ladakh, SD Singh Jamwal accompanied by SSP Deachen Police Headquarter UT Ladakh visited Zanskar Subdivision.
SSP Kargil, Shree Raam R, SDM Zanskar Romil Singh Donk, Dy. SP DAR Kargil Stanzin Dorjay, Tehsildar Zanskar Mohd Hassan, Station House Officer Zanskar presented a warm welcome to the visitors at Zangla village. A traditional reception was also presented by the President ZBA, ZGA, ZMA, Lambardar Association, ZBYA to the visitors.
ADGP, SSP Kargil, SSP PHQ UT Ladakh, SDM Zanskar and all other dignitaries expressed gratitude for organizing the awareness camp on women empowerment, cyber fraud laws and new laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA) at tourist Dak Bungalow Padum organized by District Police Kargil, Ladakh, in which large numbers of students and general public participated.

During the address, the ADGP emphasized the importance for students to use their mobile devices cautiously in today’s landscape of fraud and cybercrime. They urged awareness of mobile and internet functionalities.
Women Police Station, SIT Team cybercrime SHO Inspector Ladol informed the gathering about crimes against women, children and domestic violence and punishment under new laws.
Sub Inspector Dolkar enlightened both students and the general public about cyber fraud laws, including recent updates. Furthermore, she provided valuable guidance to safeguard their belongings from potential scams and frauds.
The UT DRF team also demonstrated how to save the life and other essentials during and disaster situation like earthquake, fire and other accidents. SSP Kargil and President Zanskar Buddhist Association also spoke at the awareness camp.
