Kargil, Nov 30: Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC Kargil, Zakir Hussain today visited several government schools of Kargil town and inspected their functioning.

The visit was aimed to assess and enhance the educational landscape within the town, emphasizing a commitment to quality education for all.

The EC was accompanied by Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmad, Executive Engineer R&B Kargil, ER. Sadiq Ali, Councillor Town, Haji Mohd Abbas Adulpa, Mohd Mussa ZEO Kargil and other concerned officers and officials.

The schools covered during this tour included Govt. Middle School Chanchik, PM Shri Govt. Model High School Lankore, Govt. Council Model High School Goma Kargil, Govt. Middle School Dass and Govt. Primary School Balti-Bazaar.

At GMS Chanchik, the EC inspected the facilities and interacted with students. Similarly, the visit to PM Shri GMHS Lankore revealed a pressing need for subject-specific teachers. He also visited the school library.

At Govt. Council Model School, Goma, Kargil the parents put forth issues before the EC. While replying to the demands, EC assured them that the genuine demands will be followed up and fulfilled in due course of time. The other schools visited witnessed appeals for enhanced infrastructure, enhancement of the staff, etc. While responding to the concerns, the EC assured to fulfill the genuine demands as per rules and regulations.

Meanwhile, the EC also visited the Govt. Girls Middle School Poyen, Govt. Kargil and inspected the arrangements and facilities in these schools. At Govt. Girls Middle School Poyen, the school management requested for Math knowing teacher in the school to which the EC assured to look for the possibility of the same.

At Govt. High School Poyen, the school administration requested for Math & Science teachers, filling of the vacant post of Junior Assistant, class 4th, construction of MDM kitchen, concrete compound walling, construction of additional classrooms, etc. While responding to the concerns, the Executive Councillor directed the CEO for providing the services of a Math knowing teacher to HS Poyeen immediately and at once.

However a Math knowing teacher was already deputed to the school from HS Lankore, besides assured the Headmaster that their other demands will be followed up and resolved as per the norms in coming days.

The SDMC Poyen and VC thanked the EC for his visit to the school. The EC emphasized that under the leadership of Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, the LAHDC Kargil is committed to provide quality education and better infrastructure in the district.

He also stressed on healthy teacher-student-parent relationships for enhanced educational outcomes and called for collaborative approach to foster positive learning environment.
