LG Ladakh Announces 10% CTET Qualifying Marks Relaxation for Reserved Categories
VoL Desk, Nov. 04: In a noteworthy development, the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh has issued a significant relaxation in the qualifying marks for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
The new directive, outlined in S.O. 89 and superseding the previous order S.O. 39 dated 16 June 2023, comes into effect under the powers conferred by S.O 282(E) dated 21st January 2020.
Under the revised guidelines, candidates belonging to reserved categories such as ST/SC/OBC/PH will now benefit from a relaxation of up to 10% in the qualifying marks for both Paper I and II of the CTET, which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

This move is expected to open up new opportunities for candidates from marginalized communities, providing them with a fair chance to qualify in the CTET examination, a crucial requirement for aspiring teachers.
