Newly Elected Members of 5th LAHDC Kargil Take Oath, Pledging Dedicated Service

VoL Desk, Oct. 17: In a solemn ceremony held today at the Syed Mehdi Auditorium Hall in Kargil, 26 recently elected members of the 5th Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) took their oath of office.

The oath was administered by Principal District and Session Judge, Iqbal Ahmed Masoodi, to the newly elected councillors, comprising 12 members from the National Conference Party, 10 from the Indian National Congress, two from the BJP, and two independents.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Special Judge Mobile Magistrate Kargil, Shafeeq Mushtaq Lone, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shrikant Suse, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Kargil, former Cabinet Ministers, former Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), as well as representatives from various political and religious organizations.

Among those in attendance were notable organizations such as the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, Anjuman Ahl Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Anjuman Sofia Noorbakshia, Anjuman Sahib Zaman Sankoo, Anjuman Inqilab Mehdi Suru, Anjuman Behbude Sadaat, Indian National Congress, National Conference, Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and several others.

The oath declaration ceremony marked an important moment in the democratic process, symbolizing the commitment of the newly elected representatives to serve the people of Kargil, Ladakh with dedication and integrity.
