Kargil/ Feb. 04, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the status of excess and surrender of funds and clearance of pending bills on account of work done liabilities under Capex budget and other allied schemes, for optimum utilization of funds before the closure of financial year 2020-2021.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Councilor Social Welfare Aga Syed Hassan Arman Mosavi, Executive Councilor Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi, Executive Councilor Tourism Phunsok Tashi, Executive Councilor Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, SE PWD Er Ved Prakash, ACD Kargil Ghulam Muhammad, District Treasury Officer (DTO) Muhammad Hanif Tantray, Executive Engineers of various sub divisions besides other concerned officers.

During the course of the meeting, officers concerned briefed the CEC about the status of expenditure incurred on various developmental works in respect of different departments.

Addressing the meeting, the CEC directed the concerned officers that maximum expenditure should be done on land compensation and procurement of machinery and equipments for engineering and non-engineering works.  
 
Khan further instructed officers that the surrendered funds should be expended in maximum manner on different works. He also directed officers that before start of projects, land compensation should be made in advance; adding officers should also submit the requirement of funds under different heads as per their spending capacity.

The CEC also directed the concerned officers to ensure clearance of pending bills with District Treasury after fulfillment of necessary codal formalities in consultation with the Treasury Officer, Kargil.   

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary directed the concerned officers that maximum amount of work should be done in the coming year and productivity of the work should be hastened. He also stressed that as per the Central rules, the departments should ensure maximum expenditure.
