Haji Nissar Hussain, Champion of Islamic Channels in Kargil, Passes Away at 73
VoL Desk, May 13: Haji Nissar Hussain from Pashkum, the man who introduced and installed Sahar TV and other Islamic channels in households across Kargil, has passed away at the age of 73. He had been battling a long-standing health issue.
With a vision to provide an alternative to mainstream news and analysis and counter the prevalence of Western culture on television, Hussain installed Sahar and other Iranian channels in Kargil homes.
Hussain had retired as work supervisor from the Public Works Department (PWD), Kargil. After retirement, he would often be seen carrying equipment, knowing the frequencies and directions to catch the channels, and installing them free of cost.

Since the early days of television in Kargil, Hussain had been instrumental in introducing Sahar TV from Iran to counter the influence of un-Islamic channels that promoted Western culture and traditions.
His brother, Haji Mohd Baqir, is a retired Chief Education Officer and currently a member of the Guardian Council at IKMT Kargil. One of Hussain’s sons is contributing to the preservation of traditional medicinal plants in Kargil, Ladakh, through his organization named the Tropicalist Trust.
Hussain is survived by three sons and one daughter.
The IKMT has released a statement expressing condolences to the family members and relatives of Haji Nissar Hussain on his sad demise.

😭😭😭😭😭😭 Hi everyone, i want to share some few words about him as i known,
He was great man and had great personality in his life time, He was man of their on world without interfering the others life.
He had their own ideas and unique technique in field of tele communication like setting of tv antenna direction, setting of different LMB frequencies.
Many years before he introduce 2 LMB on single antenna for irani free dish channel as well as India dish. I am certain how he did it.
Really,he was scientist of kargil with thier own ideas and unique technique.
May allah bless his soul and grant him greatest place in jannah….
