VoL Desk, March 31: Rev. Elijah Gergan, Former Chairperson of the Moravian Church Leh, recently met with Hon’ble Lt. Gov Brig (Dr) BD Mishra and requested the allocation of land for the ‘Project Health’ Trust in Kargil. The trust aims to help the needy in the health and education sector of Kargil.

During the meeting, the Hon’ble Lt. Gov was also apprised of the books written in Bhoti by Rev. Elijah Gergan’s grandfather, including the ‘History of Ladakh’ and ‘1000 Tibetan Proverbs,’ and was requested to support their promotion.

This meeting is significant as it highlights the efforts of individuals and organizations to contribute to the development of Kargil and promote its cultural heritage. It also reflects the Hon’ble Lt. Gov’s commitment to supporting such initiatives that benefit the people of Ladakh.
