Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil Commemorate Demolition of Jannatul Baqi
News Desk, April 29: Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil held a morning congregation and procession on the 8th of Sawwal to commemorate the demolition of Jannatul Baqi by the Al-Saud regime.
Sheikh Hussain Subhani delivered a sermon on the oneness of Allah (Tawheed) and emphasized that all Prophets and Imams in Islam conveyed this message. He also expressed that the sufferings and grief of believers will continue until the re-emergence of the last Shia Imam, Mohammad Mehdi.
The congregation concluded with the chanting of Noha and recitation of Fatiha, led by the President of the organization, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Muhammad.

A procession from Islamiya school premises culminated at Inqilab Manzil, where Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi delivered a speech. He informed the attendees that the day of demolition of Jannatul Baqi is referred to as the second Ashura by the Marja, and the demolition of the mausoleum on the graves of Prophet Muhammad, his progeny, and companions took place.
The Al-Saud regime attacked Jannatul Baqi twice, once in 1220 hijri by the Wahabi and during the Ottoman Empire the tombs were reconstructed and renovated in 1234. They were once again demolished in 1344 on the orders of Al-Saud. The procession demanded the reconstruction of Jannatul Baqi to allow Shias to pilgrimage on the holy shrines of their Imams.
