LAHDC Leh refutes CEC Kargil’s allegation of shifting of District Cadre posts
Leh, Feb 07: Dy Chairman/Executive Councillor FCS&CA, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk rebutted the allegation made by the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil regarding the ‘shifting of sanctioned District Cadre posts of Kargil district to Leh district in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.’
Dy Chairman Angchuk has requested the Administration of UT Ladakh to further increase the number of posts in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of Leh district, read a press release issued by the LAHDC Leh.
He stated that UT Ladakh Administration had recently allocated a total of 180 District Cadre posts to Leh district and 190 posts to Kargil district in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. He also stated that Leh being the headquarter of the Union Territory is stressed with a higher workload given there are 213 selling centres in Leh while only 191 selling centres in Kargil with 5 dumping centres at each district.

He added that it was Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh who took the matter of deficit posts with the Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT in the year 2020 and requested for sanctioning of additional posts in the FCS&CA Department, Leh and the same matter was consequently followed up with Advisor to LG Ladakh by him on many occasions.
He further requested LG Ladakh not to withdraw the order without taking the confidence of LAHDC Leh into consideration.
