Leh, Jan 25: An official delegation from the Nubra region led by the Member Parliament (Lok Sabha) Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal called on Union Raksha Mantri (Defence Minister), Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today. He was accompanied by Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk, and Councillor Tegar, Rigzen Lundup. 

The delegation discussed major issues pertaining to the Nubra region and put forth a few demands to the Union Defence Minister for consideration and immediate intervention from his office.

The agendas majorly included, the resumption of civilians to travel in IAF Aircraft, final approval for the transfer of 3-acre land from Thoise Airport for Udaan scheme implementation, issues of local porters working at Siachen glaciers, and the need for a separate district status for the Nubra region.

Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by the delegation and assured them of early redressal.
