VoL Desk, Sep. 20: Al-Reza Health Care & Research Foundation – Health wing of Jamait Ul Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil conducted a free eye check up and surgery camp here at Kargil.

The Camp was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir and Medical Superintendent Dr Liaqat Ali Khan in presence of President JUIAK Sheikh Nazir ul Mehdi Mohammadi, read a press release issuedby the health organisation.

On the first day of the camp on Saturday 19, around 370 patients were screened at Al-Reza office Inqalab Manzil from 8:00 am morning till late night.

On September 20, on 2nd day of the camp,  30 Cataract surgeries were performed till evening. All lenses are provided free of cost. 50 poor patients have been selected for free eye surgeries on the last day.

People from all walk of life have appreciated for this noble cause of Al-Reza for the poor patients of Kargil and Free eye surgeries at the door step.

The camp is being conducted by Al-Reza HC&RF in collaboration with ASG Hospital Srinagar and Department of Health Kargil.
Dr Manzoor Ul Mehdi, renowned Ophthalmologist and AIIMS alumni and Dr Mujahid Ali, both renowned minimally invasive/ Scarless Ophthalmologists and their team from ASG hospital Srinagar are conducting the camp and Surgeries and they have brought the lenses for all the poor patients needing Eye surgeries. The team was assisted by Dr Asiya Noor, ophthalmologist and team at District Hospital Kargil.

The Volunteers of Al-Reza have extremely worked hard for smoothly conducting the camp. President JUIAK and President AL-REZA and doctors have highly appreciated the volunteers for their exemplary hard work and dedication.

It is to be noted that on coming Sunday 25th September 2022, AL-REZA HC & RF is conducting another Mega Multi Super-Speciality Camp at 300 bedded Hospital Kurbathang, in collaboration with MEDI-CARE Hospital Srinagar and Department of Health. The camp will be having all the Super-specialists from Valley including Gastroenterologist, Cardiologist, Nephrologist, Urologist, Psychiatrist, Urologist, Surgical Gastroenterologist, Pulmonologist, Endocrinologist and Oncologist. The team will perform Fibroscan, EEG, Echo, USG and endoscopies etc at the camp on Sunday.
