Massive Protest Rally Held in Kargil to Commemorate Minab School Children

VOL News Desk/ A large protest rally was held in Kargil to commemorate the children reportedly killed in airstrikes in Minab, drawing participation from thousands of school students.
The rally was organised by the Mutahhary Educational Society in memory of around 180 children killed in US-Israeli airstrikes on February 28.
According to organisers, the procession began at Kargil Taxi Stand and included students from nearly 15 schools affiliated with the Mutahhary Society. Participants carried photographs of the deceased children on their bags and in their hands.

The rally moved through the main market areas of the town, passing key locations before concluding at Hussaini Park. Students were seen singing religious chants and raising slogans during the march.
Participants gathered and raised slogans against the United States and Israel. Some chants also referenced the former Martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei and current leader Ayatollah Syed Mujtaba Khamenei.

Volunteers associated with Baseej-e-Imam and Baseej-e-Zainabiya were present to guide the procession, while personnel from Ladakh Police were deployed to maintain law and order during the event.

The concluding event at Hussaini Park featured speeches and tributes. Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai paid homage to the children, while students from Mutahhary schools also delivered speeches expressing grief and solidarity.
Paintings and visual displays depicting the victims and the reported incident were exhibited at the venue. Models representing the school and the affected children were also showcased.
In the final segment, students performed a dramatized presentation portraying the airstrike on the school. The performance drew an emotional response from attendees.
The programme concluded with students collecting donations in support of the affected school and Iran.
