Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh and former VC of RGU Central University, Arunachal Pradesh, was honoured with a prestigious Citation of Appreciation by the Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. The recognition celebrates his exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and transformative service during his tenure at RGU from 2018 to 2024.

Over the course of his distinguished six-year tenure, Prof. Saket Kushwaha has led RGU with vision, integrity, and an unrelenting pursuit of academic and institutional excellence. He has championed numerous initiatives, from the expansion of academic programs, transparent recruitment of over 70 new faculty and staff, and campus development at three new locations, to the establishment of key institutions. His efforts culminated in prestigious accolades for the university, including the Grade A’ accreditation by NAAC (2024) and recognition as the Best Central University in the Himalayan Region and the Second Best Central University in India (2020) by the Ministry of Education.

Notably, Prof. Saket Kushwaha’s stewardship during the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated resilience and foresight, while his successful implementation of NEP-2020 across all 45 affiliated colleges, and continued focus on skill-based education, innovation, and sustainability, have left an enduring legacy. Prof. Saket Kushwaha’s leadership has been a guiding light during times of challenge (COVID-19), and his accomplishments serve as an inspiring example for the entire academic community. The consistently high Transparency Audit scores and green audit initiatives further reflect his deep-rooted commitment to accountability and sustainability.

Now serving as VC of the UoL, Prof. Saket Kushwaha has continued to demonstrate his transformative vision. In a short span, he has introduced several new academic programs across both campuses and collaborative linkages with reputed national and international international institutions to strengthen the academic foundation of the university.
