Delhi, July 06, 2025 – The All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his faithful companions in the land of Karbala who fought against falsehood and oppression.

The Ashura procession started after the Zuhr and Asr prayers from the Shia Jama Masjid, Kashmere Gate and culminated at Panja Sharif Dargah, where hundreds of students participated. Students chanted nohas paying rich tribute to Imam Hussain (a.s.).

The entire procession was managed by the Ashura Committee, a dedicated committee to oversee the event’s arrangements. Moreover, a cleanliness drive was also held during the procession to ensure hygiene and cleanliness of the procession.

AKSAD also organized Majlis-e-Shab-e-Ashur and Sham-e-Ghareeban at Sangam Vihar, Wazirabad and Jamia Ahlebait, Okhla, New Delhi, which were addressed by Maulana Sheikh Jawad Habib and Maulana Amir Hassanain respectively, where a significant number of students participated.
