Team from Ladakh Participates in Lok Samvardhan Parv, Srinagar
Leh April 6 (DIPR-L): A team comprising skilled artisans, culinary experts, and agripreneurs from Ladakh is proudly participating in the Lok Samvardhan Parv, being held from 5th to 13th April 2025 at the Convocation Ground, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
In a significant development, NMDFC, which earlier permitted only rail and road travel reimbursements, has now approved flight ticket reimbursements for participants from remote hilly regions like Ladakh, where connectivity remains a major challenge.
This was made possible through the kind recommendation of the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson to Shri Kiren Rijiju ji, Minister of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

The event is being organized by the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
It is a moment of immense pride that a vibrant team from Ladakh is showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage, traditional skills, and entrepreneurial potential at this prestigious national platform. Their participation reflects the diverse and dynamic spirit of Ladakh.
This progressive initiative has been widely appreciated and is expected to pave the way for increased participation from Ladakh in future national events. The current support includes affordable air travel, complimentary stalls for marketing, daily dearness allowance, and honorariums for artisans and entrepreneurs engaged in skill demonstrations and product exhibitions.
