Leh, 28 January, 2025: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) and First Lady Smt Neelam Mishra, visited the starting point of the Chader Trek at Chilling today. During the visit, the HLG conducted a thorough review of the Chader Trek operations and interacted with the officials present at the site.

Demonstrating his commitment to understanding the conditions firsthand, the HLG walked on the ice and engaged in discussions with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Leh regarding the ongoing Chader Trek. The interactions focused on ensuring the safety and well-being of trekkers, as well as assessing the facilities and support provided to them.

The HLG emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of safety and infrastructure for the trekkers and assured that any necessary improvements would be promptly addressed.

Deputy Commissioner Leh, Shri. Santosh Sukhadave, IAS; Additional SP, Leh Shri. Rigzin Sangdup, JKPS, officials of the concerned department and other concerned stakeholders were present during the visit.
