Chandigarh, January 15, 2025: The All Ladakh Students’ Welfare Association Chandigarh (ALSWAC) successfully hosted its much-anticipated annual cricket tournament, which concluded today at the Panjab University Athletics Ground in Chandigarh.

The exhilarating final match saw Drass 11 triumph over 20 Millions in a nail-biting finish, securing the coveted trophy in an unforgettable showdown.

Dr. Amit Chauhan, Dean of Students Welfare at Panjab University, inaugurated the final by officiating the coin toss and shared encouraging words with the participants. ALSWAC expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Chauhan for his valuable presence and support during the event.

The success of the tournament is credited to the visionary leadership of ALSWAC President, Mr. Aba Idrees, whose dedication played a pivotal role in organizing this grand event. Special appreciation was extended to the ALSWAC Executive Council, particularly the Sports Department, for their relentless efforts in ensuring seamless execution.

The trophy distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Anurag Dalal, President of PUCSC, and Mr. Vineet Yadav, General Secretary of PUCSC, who applauded the players for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

The tournament not only celebrated cricket but also served as a platform to strengthen the bonds among the Ladakhi student community in Chandigarh.
