KARGIL, LADAKH – In a significant initiative to address unemployment and promote skill development, the 121 Infantry Brigade (Kargil Sentinels) organized a video conference aimed at providing career guidance and opportunities for the youth of the region.

The conference, held at the Kargil Sainik Institute, witnessed the participation of senior army officials and representatives from prominent companies based in Delhi and Bangalore. The event focused on skill development courses in diverse fields such as hotel management, electronics, and automotive vehicle technology.

Youth from Drass, Batalik, and various parts of Kargil actively participated in the session, demonstrating a strong interest in exploring new career paths and enhancing their professional skills. The virtual event provided a platform for the attendees to interact with industry experts and gain insights into various employment avenues.

The Kargil Sentinels announced that they will soon roll out comprehensive skill development programs across the district. Additionally, representatives from the collaborating companies are expected to visit Kargil in the near future to conduct physical interviews and recruitment drives, providing direct employment opportunities to the local youth.

This initiative is part of the army’s continued efforts to foster community development and empower the youth by equipping them with essential skills required in today’s job market. The event marked a crucial step in bridging the gap between education and employment, contributing to the overall socio-economic growth of the region.
