ADC Leh Ghulam Mohd (JKAS) chairs District Level Aadhaar Committee meeting
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh Ghulam Mohd (JKAS) chaired a meeting with District Level Aadhaar Committee to review the working of Aadhaar sector and Aadhaar related issues at VC Room, DC Office, Leh today on December 18.
During the meeting, Assistant Manager UIDAI Ladakh Taief Mir, briefed about the agenda of the meeting which included Aadhar Saturation, Working of Aadhar Centres, Department wise progress, MBU and Document update, State government portal to facilitate verification of new enrolment and documents submitted by residents, usage of Aadhaar in various schemes, face authentication and monitoring fraudulent activities related to Aadhar.
Further, he informed about the active Aadhar Centers and its saturation status in Leh district. He mentioned that the Aadhar saturation for UT Ladakh under the age of 0-5 is 37.79%, for the age 5-18, it is 141.19% and for the age above 18, it is 83.87%. He also briefed about action taken report of all the departments. He also underscored the issues which arises due DoB certificates.
ADC Leh stressed on updating the existing number of population and instructed the officer to write a letter to do so. He also instructed the officer to identify operators in blocks where the system is not functional and make it functional. He also instructed all the Departments to improve the saturation of Aadhar. Discussion also took place on how to monitor fraudulent activities in Aadhaar cases.
The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Rigzin Sangdup JKPS, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer and other HoDs of various Departments and Banks. SDMs from various blocks joined the meeting through video conference.
