3-day geriatric medical camp concludes in Kargil
Kargil, Oct 30, 2024: In celebration of elderly month, a three-day free geriatric medical camp organized by District Health Society Kargil concluded at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.
The medical camp was aimed to provide basic health care facilities to the elderly population of the district Kargil.
During the camp, various departments including ophthalmic, orthopaedic, psychiatric and specialists including dental, ENT physician, pharmacists and technicians provided comprehensive healthcare services.

The health camp offered free diabetes and hypertension screening. Elders received counselling on healthy diet and nutrition to promote wellness and awareness in the community.
The health IDs and Ayushmaan Cards were also generated for the elderly people, ensuring better healthcare access. A total of 111 patients all over the district attended the camp.
Free medicines were provided to patients and tests were also conducted. People from all walks of life appreciated the Health Department Kargil for organizing the medical camp. They said the medical camp has come as a relief for elderly patients.
