Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil Expresses Solidarity with Delhi Protesters
VoL Desk, October 20: Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil (JUIAK) has voiced its support for protesters in Delhi advocating for the fulfillment of Ladakh’s four-point agenda.
During a press conference, JUIAK member Sajjad Hussain Kargili highlighted that students from Jawaharlal Nehru University, along with other youth, aimed to show solidarity with Ladakhi demonstrators. However, he criticized the Delhi Police for cracking down on their peaceful protests.
Kargili emphasized that the pressing issues facing Ladakh have been suppressed, preventing them from being addressed. He noted that there is a narrative orchastrated suggesting all is well in Ladakh, but he stressed that the Ladakhi residents are dissatisfied and eager to share their true experiences.

The four-point agenda includes demands for statehood for Ladakh, inclusion in the Sixth Schedule, separate Lok Sabha seats for Leh and Kargil, and recruitment for gazetted posts. Kargili urged the central government to resume discussions with Ladakhi leaders to expedite resolution of these issues.
