Acting CEC, Kacho Mohd Feroz, visits NIELIT, inspects facilities
Kargil, June 11: Acting Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz today visited National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Kargil.
During his visit, he inspected various facilities including the solar technology lab, computer lab, conference hall, and library.
Councillor, Baroo Minjee constituency, Adv Khadim Hussain, NIELIT Director Phuntsog Dolden; Assistant Director Mushtaq Ahmad, and other faculty members were present during the visit.

The acting CEC emphasised the role of capacity building and the opportunities that NIELIT offers to students. He directed Councillor Khadim Hussain to coordinate closely with the institute and ensure that all necessary reports are submitted to the Council. He assured that the Council would extend all possible assistance to support the institute’s initiatives.
He threw light on the importance of student feedback and said that he would hold a review meeting of the NIELIT to assess progress and address any concerns. He also inspected labs where students are taught new technical techniques and other modern learning methods.
The acting CEC addressed the demand for an e-bus route to NIELIT, assuring that he would discuss the matter with the Chairman CEC, recognising the importance of this route for both students and faculty.
Further, he responded to the request for whitewashing the institute, suggesting that the Councillor coordinate with the Executive Councillor for Education to take necessary action.
He also directed Councillor Khadim Hussain to resolve any disputes concerning the upgradation of the road to NIELIT, facilitating smoother access to the institute.
The acting CEC lauded the efforts of the institute’s staff and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in providing the best possible education to students.
