Vol Desk, March 17: A delegation of nurses from the Health Department recently met with Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr.) BD Mishra to address crucial concerns within their profession. During the meeting, they raised two primary issues: the establishment of separate seniority lists for nurses within the Health Department and the Medical Education Department, and the amendment of recruitment rules pertaining to Public Health Nurses.

The Director of Health Services confirmed that a unified seniority list for both Junior and Senior Nurses had been prepared, incorporating nurses who had been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir.

In response, the Lieutenant Governor assured the delegation that established protocols would be strictly adhered to. Additionally, he directed the initiation of the process to amend the Recruitment Rules (RRs) concerning Public Health Nurses.
