VoL Desk, Dec. 31: In view of rise and prevailing spread of COVID-19 virus in Leh and to prevent and contain the COVID-19 virus, the ADGP Ladakh, Dr S D Singh Jamwal has instructed various measures.

Pertinently, 11 Covid positive cases have been detected in Leh so far, stated Director Health, Mutup Dorje in a press conference. In an order on Saturday, as Preventive Measures, all head of Ladakh Police units will direct all sub-ordinates under their command and control to take all preventive measures such as use of masks, maintain social distance and regular use of sanitizers etc. and also follow COVID-19 preventive guidelines issued by Health Department time to time.

The ADGP has directed the S.P Leh, S.P Kargil and S.P CID Ladakh to include and submit Daily Situation Reports on the prevailing COVID-19. The ADGP has further directed to keep rigorous surveillance and conduct reviews of the COVID-19 situation time to time.

The Ladakh Police shall also assess and monitor the scenario for necessary actions pertaining to law enforcement departments and police.
