Leh, Dec 23: Director, National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh Dr. Padma Gurmet, participated in the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan as an invited speaker at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The 6th Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan and Expo was jointly organised by Vijnana Bharati and Government of Gujarat at Ahmedabad from December 21 to 24, 2023.

The focal theme for this year is ‘A new integral vision for Development’ BVS is a conglomeration of scientists, artisans, technocrats, traditional innovators, students and common people planned once in two years. It has become an excellent platform to bring together whoever contributes to science and has become a new definition and identity in the field of scientific seminars and symposiums.

Dr. Padma Gurmet presented a paper on scope for research and innovation in Sowa Rigpa and traditional medicine on December 22.

Chairman, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Dr. Somnath was one of the keynote speakers on December 22.  He said that India’s maiden solar mission Aditya-L1 will reach its destination, the Lagrangian point (L1) which is located 1.5 million Km from the earth, on January 6 and other emerging trends in science and technology.
