VoL Desk, Nov. 13: The Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil adopted new bylaws from November 01, 2023, making significant changes in the organisational setup. The announcement of enactment of the new bylaws was made in a notification by the chairman of Guardian Council, IKMT, on October 28, 2023, replacing the old bylaws of the organisation.

A public gathering was also held at the Convention Hall, IKMT Tower, on Sunday in the presence of Guardian Council members, Executive Body, branch heads, and a large number of the public.

A 16-member committee was formed and tasked to draft a new bylaws. Later, the draft was published in the Voice of Ladakh newspaper, seeking public suggestions. After incorporating the suggestions, the new bylaws have been enacted from November 1, 2023, said General Secretary, IKMT, in the public gathering.

As per the new bylaws, the organisation will have a Guardian Council, an Executive Body, a Delegates Council (Majlis Mandubin), Block Committees, Village Committees, and Neighbourhood (Mohalla) Committees.
