Lt. Gov Brig (Dr) BD Mishra inspects site for Capitol Complex in Ladakh
VoL Desk, April 15: Lt. Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra visited the designated site for the construction of the Capitol Complex at Ranbirpur in Ladakh on Friday. During his visit, he was accompanied by the Commissioner/Secretary of Ladakh’s Department of Planning, Development & Monitoring, AK Sahu.
According to the official statement, Com Secretary AK Sahu briefed the Lt. Governor about the draft layout plan, which includes details of the location of various buildings and infrastructure around the Capitol complex. These include the Ladakh Secretariat Building, Raj Bhawan, Convention Centre, Guest Houses, Staff Quarters, parking spaces, Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), and other amenities.
The Lt. Governor also met with the Hill Councilors and officers of the Ladakh Administration and discussed the progress of the ongoing developmental projects in the region.

The Lt. Governor highlighted the importance of the Capitol Complex in Ladakh’s development and its potential to become a landmark destination for tourists and visitors. He emphasized the need to ensure the judicious use of funds and incorporate amenities that can be utilized by the general public equally.
The High-Level Group (HLG) overseeing the project was impressed by the Lt. Governor’s vision and his commitment to the project’s success. The HLG assured him of their full cooperation in executing the project as per the plan.
The Capitol Complex in Ladakh is a flagship project of the Ladakh Administration aimed at providing modern infrastructure for the governance and administration of the region. The project is expected to be completed in phases over the next few years.
