Major Reshuffle in LAHDC Kargil: Two Councillors Appointed as Executive Councillors
Kargil, July 15, 2026 / VOL News Desk/ In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, has appointed two new Executive Councillors. The order was issued on July 15, 2026, by Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon.
According to the official order, Shri Altaf Hussain of Chuliskamboo Constituency and Shri Syed Ali of GM Pore Constituency have been appointed as Executive Councillors under the powers vested in the Chairman as per Section 33(2) of the LAHDC Act, 1995.
The notification stated that the allocation of departments to the newly appointed Executive Councillors will be announced separately.
