Kargil, June 10, 2026/ VOL News Desk/ The Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today visited Hundurman to inspect the progress of crucial infrastructure projects.

He was accompanied by the Councillor Poyen Mohd Amin, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer PHE, the Assistant Executive Engineer, and other officials, as well as local villagers.

Dr Akhoon inspected the Solar Hundurman Lift Water Supply Project. During the inspection, he was told that the project, valued at 18.60 crore, is being executed along the Hundurman Brok. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high quality standards and timely completion. He engaged with the executing agency, commended their efforts, and urged them to adhere to the project timeline.

Following this, Dr. Akhoon proceeded to inspect the Shilikchey Bridge, where he was joined by the Suprendient Engineer, Executive Engineer of R&B and Assistant Executive Engineer R&B. 

He reviewed the status of work, discussed bottlenecks, and assured the team that all identified issues would be resolved swiftly. He reiterated the need for completion within the stipulated timeframe.

In addition, the Hon’ble CEC also visited the Hundurman Solar Power Plant of Hundurman Lift Water Supply Project further reinforcing the district’s commitment to sustainable energy and infrastructure development also inspected the Sudaesh Darshan 2.0 construction of café at Shilikchey.

Dr. Akhoon expressed his determination to ensure these projects benefit the community and set a benchmark for future development.
