Urdu Poetry Book Rehan-e-Kargil Released at JKAACL Jammu

Jammu, May 31/ VOL News Desk/ The Urdu poetry book Rehan-e-Kargil, authored by noted poet and literary figure Haji Mohammad Baqir Sabha, was formally released during a literary function organized by Adbi Kunj at the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

The event was attended by prominent literary personalities. Dr. Javed Rahi, Regional Officer of Kala Kendra, JKAACL, was the Chief Guest, while the programme was presided over by Capt. Lalit Sharma, a distinguished Dogri poet and writer. Arsh Om Dalmotra and Pyaasa Anjum also shared the dais. The proceedings were conducted by Arsh Dalmotra.

The programme commenced with the welcoming of guests through the presentation of bouquets, followed by the felicitation of the author by members of Adbi Kunj. Renowned literary figure Dr. A.C. Bhagat presented a detailed paper reviewing the book and highlighting its literary significance.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Mohammad Waqar Sabha shared his experiences and inspirations behind writing the book. Rehan-e-Kargil is his second collection of Urdu poetry and contains 99 poems and qawwalis, with a strong emphasis on spirituality and moral values. Sabha also serves as the Vice President of Adbi Kunj’s Ladakh unit.

The book was jointly released by the dignitaries and office-bearers of Adbi Kunj. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Javed Rahi spoke about the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh, with special reference to Kargil and its literary traditions. Capt. Lalit Sharma described the publication as a valuable addition to contemporary Urdu literature.

Arsh Dalmotra congratulated the author and appreciated his efforts in advancing the literary mission of Adbi Kunj in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The event concluded with appreciation for the author’s contribution to Urdu literature and best wishes for his future literary endeavors.
