Drass, May 22, 2026/ VOL News Desk/ Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS) today took a meeting in his office to take stock of the arrangements to be made in Drass District for the forth-coming Eid-ul-Azha celebrations. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishal Atri (JKAS), Block Medical Officer, Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Block Development Officer Shahid Sultan, Councillors  of LAHDC-Kargil Abdul Samad and Abdul Wahid, Station House Officer Mohammad Abdullah, Assistant Executive Officer, PDD; Tehsil Supply Officer,Junior Engineer, PW R&B-II, Officials of Border Road Organization as well as heads and representatives of religious organizations besides President, Market Association of Drass.  

Inputs and suggestions were sought from all participants for making fool-proof and smooth arrangements regarding traffic and parking regulation, power and water supply, cleanliness and provision of essential services. Heads and representatives of religious organizations sought effective coordination and requested that effective arrangements be put in place on the day of Eid-ul-Azha. 

 The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned departments to make sincere efforts to ensure that the eid celebrations are held smoothly. He directed them to provide essential services properly and without causing any inconvenience to the public.  Further, he asked heads and representatives of religious organizations to reach out to him  in case any assistance is required.
