Youmullah: Thousands Participate in Grand Rally in Kargil to Mark 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution

Kargil, February 11/ VOL News Desk/ On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, a grand and historic rally titled “Youmullah” was taken out at the district headquarters of Kargil. The programme was organized by the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil, and witnessed the participation of thousands of followers of Wilayat and Imamat, lovers of Ahlul Bayt (AS), scholars, students, women, and children.

From around 10:30 a.m., devotees from various rural and urban areas of Kargil district thronged the town to join the rally. Participants carried portraits of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, and martyrs of the Revolution, along with banners and placards. Revolutionary anthems, naats, and manqabats were recited throughout the procession.

The participants raised slogans such as “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” and “Down with Global Arrogance,” highlighting the global message of the Islamic Revolution. Strong solidarity was expressed with Palestine, particularly the oppressed people of Gaza, as well as Yemen. The speakers and participants stated that Islamic Revolution continues to be the voice of the oppressed and stands as a shield against arrogant powers.

This year, women’s participation added further significance to the rally. In a separate and well-organized procession, young girls and elderly women expressed their strong attachment to Islamic system through revolutionary slogans. They also carried portraits of Imam Khomeini, the Supreme Leader, and martyrs of the resistance.

The rally culminated at Hussaini Park, where a dignified gathering was held. Senior member of the Supervisory Council, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, addressed the gathering and elaborated on the ideological and historical significance of Youmullah. He said that the 1979 Islamic Revolution was not merely a political change but a manifestation of awakening, self-confidence, and the concept of Wilayat-e-Faqih within the Muslim Ummah.

He further stated that movements of Islamic awakening and resistance across the world are inspired by the Islamic Revolution. He urged the public to renew their commitment to the system of Wilayat-e-Faqih and to incorporate revolutionary values into their lives.

Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai also spoke in detail about the current situation in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza, Palestine, and Yemen, strongly condemning the ongoing atrocities. He also briefed the public on matters related to the High-Power Committee meeting concerning the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the discussions held on February 4 in New Delhi between representatives of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Ladakhi representatives.

The programme concluded with a collective prayer led by Chairman of the Supervisory Council, Hujjat-ul-Islam Sheikh Mohammad Mohqiq, seeking progress and peace for the Muslim world, victory for Iran, Palestine and Gaza, and good health for the Supreme Leader Imam Khamenei. Effigies of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were also burned on the occasion.
