Menamarg Police team, under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Fayad Ahmad, along with officials of the GREF, carried out a late-night rescue operation at Zojila Pass.

Several vehicles travelling from the Sonamarg side were stranded at Zojila due to heavy snow accumulation caused by strong winds. On receiving information, the police and GREF teams acted quickly and reached the spot despite difficult weather conditions.

The joint team safely rescued all the stranded vehicles and escorted them towards Menamarg. The vehicles reached Menamarg at around 11:00 pm. No injuries or damage were reported during the operation.

The timely action by Menamarg Police and GREF ensured the safety of the stranded passengers and helped restore smooth movement on the route.
