Leh, December 8/ VOL News Desk/ A solemn farewell party was organised at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat to bid adieu to Chief Accounts Officer Smt Gizala Shabnam (2020 JKAS officer), who is proceeding to the Main Treasury Office. The occasion also marked the formal welcome of new Chief Accounts Officer Shri Tsewang Dorjey.

The Hon’ble Lt Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta felicitated the outgoing officer and appreciated her professionalism, sincerity and commitment to duty. He acknowledged her role in ensuring financial discipline and smooth functioning of the Secretariat.

In her farewell remarks, Smt Gizala described her stint as “special,” noting it as her first posting in Ladakh and crediting the staff’s cooperation for efficient office functioning. “This enriching experience has been memorable; I thank everyone for their unwavering support,” she expressed.

Security & Liaison Officer, Lt Col BK Dash praised Smt Gizala for setting a benchmark through her dedication and professionalism, congratulated her on the new assignment, and extended a warm welcome to Shri Tsewang Dorjey. Secretariat staff also lauded Smt Gizala’s exemplary work ethic.

The event, supervised by Under Secretary Shri Sachin Bali, underscored the transient nature of government service. “Transfers are part of official life; Smt Gizala’s two-year tenure exemplifies outstanding service,” he remarked.

Officials and staff of LG Secretariat and Lok Niwas were present during the event.
