Kargil, January 07/ VOL News Desk/ On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, an anti-encroachment drive was carried out today in Kargil town. The drive was conducted along the stretch from Poyen Bridge to Poyen and also covered the Old Market area.

The joint drive was undertaken by a team comprising officials from the Revenue Department, Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, Kargil Police, Municipal Committee (MC) Kargil, Traffic Police, and the Food Safety Department.

During the drive, action was taken against various violations. A total of 61 challans were issued for wrong parking.

The drive aimed at removing encroachments, ensuring smooth traffic movement, and enforcing civic and food safety regulations.
